Present
The Solar Factory GmbH has a capacity of 120 MW in both locations.
Past
The Solar Factory GmbH is a one hundred percent subsidiary of Solar World AG. The Solar Factory was founded in 2001 in Freiberg and in 2003 the world’s most modern factory for producing solar power modules went into production. The production capacity was 30 MW at that time. In 2006 the second production site for solar modules went in to operation in the Freiberger industrial park Saxonia.
