The Solar Factory GmbH is a 100% subsidiary of SolarWorld AG and runs two of the most modern solar module production sites in the world in Freiberg and is simultaneously in a top position in the field due to the 100% automation level. Founded in 2001, we have since then been producing photovoltaic modules in the Solar Factory in Freiberg/Saxony in the direct vicinity of Dresden, the capital of Saxony. After the opening of the second production site in the year 2006, the production capacity of the module production increased drastically. Hence, two module production sites exist in Freiberg – the Solar Factory I and the Solar Factory II. Currently, approximately 115 workers are employed by the Solar Factory GmbH in Freiberg.
